Nesha was born on March 5, 1957, in Grinnell, to Keith and Shirley Lowry Paulson. She was raised on the family farm west of Grinnell and graduated from Grinnell High School in 1975.

On July 30, 1976, she was married to Gary Meyer at her family home. The couple lived in Grinnell and she worked as a seamstress for the DeLong Sportswear Company. Besides being a homemaker and mother she also worked in the produce department of the former Food-4-Less store and operated a child-care service in her home. Most recently she worked for the Rock Creek Athletic Company in Grinnell and as a seamstress in her home.

Nesha enjoyed horseback riding, cross stitching, skiing, roller skating and playing intramural softball and volleyball. Her children and grandchildren were her biggest passion in life and she enjoyed watching them participate in school and sport events.

Survivors include her parents, Keith and Shirley Paulson of Grinnell; her children, Camille Meyer and Carrie Meyer, both of Cedar Rapids, Laura (Joe) Patten of Grinnell, Juelles Brenner and Jamie Brenner, both of Grinnell; two grandchildren, Lily and Lana Patten; two brothers, Craig (Shelly) Paulson and Mark (Brenda) Paulson, both of Grinnell; and one sister, Karma (Kelly) Werner of Grinnell.
